They installed a cfg in my bathroom between two heaters. I was not told that it would explode. I knew that non dimmers could not be put into a dimmer setting but did not know that they could explode. Are not the cfg’s still superior to the old inefficient globes?

Banning what Australians want gives the supposed savings - no point in banning an impopular product! All lighting devices have different advantages and give out different types of light.
